Invest in Real Estate or Stocks???

I have some amount of earnings apart from the ones that I save for my necessities. I want the earnings invested in some real estate or may be in stocks. I do have some knowledge on stocks but, earlier my cousin had invested in the stocks and had a set-back. I know that you need to be updated in that but – What is a better option from the two???

Invest in Real Estate or Stocks???

Real Estate or Stocks ---- I would prefer real estate just for the sake that I don’t know much about the stocks ….. but as the case with your cousin goes …. I would advice you to have some investments in the real estate market as the place is at a boom now and you may get good returns for the investments there. Being updated on the stock market is a must for investments there but I find investment a risk in the stock market.

Hi there,

This is an interesting question, i know here in miami home prices have soared an absurd amount in the last 3 years. So much so that they are basically unaffordable to most working people, and outside investors are buying up lots of them. However the common fear alot of would-be buyers I see now (those who can afford the properties at their inflated prices), is that the market for homes will crash (they envision it as a stock market crash, when in reality its more like what Brad said). The biggest risk I see in these hot markets for realestate is that the prices flatten, and all those people who bought these second or third homes to flip them are caught with their hands in the cookie jar, and they can’t make a profit on their investment, then they realize they can’t afford to hold onto these houses for another few years till the market rebounds…

I'd go with real estate any day, before stocks.

Right now real estate is definately the place to get into because there are great buys right now.Stock's on the otherhand is also right but you have to have the resources on where to put your money.I know first hand because I have the right resources.

Hello there,

I say it depends on how much capital you have to invest. I know there are some great commercial real estate investments that are a sure thing in terms of return on your investments. Certain stocks are great long term, but you have to be willing to invest long term and get a return. Do you have a financial adviser? I know some great people that could educate/advise you!

Real estate is a legal term that encompasses land along with anything permanently affixed to the land, such as buildings, specifically property that is stationary, or fixed in location.
